The Cheetah is the closest thing the Grand Theft Auto series has to a mascot supercar, and it is one of the very few GTA VI vehicles Rockstar has named outright rather than simply shown. A '95 Grotti Cheetah appears in official Ultimate Edition material, and Grotti hardware is visible in the first trailer. That combination — a named model plus supporting footage — makes it the single most solidly evidenced car in our database. Historically the Cheetah has been in the series since Grand Theft Auto III and became a Vice City icon in 2002, where its wedge profile and side strakes made it the definitive poster car of the setting. Rockstar has published no GTA VI performance figures, price or acquisition details for it, so we are not listing any; anything you read elsewhere quoting a top speed for the GTA VI Cheetah is taken from an older game or invented. What we can say is that a mid-1990s Grotti Cheetah is part of the promoted GTA VI content, and that its return to the city it helped define is about as on-brand as Rockstar gets.

GTA VI appearance
The Cheetah is one of the very small number of Grand Theft Auto VI vehicles Rockstar Games has named in its own material rather than one identified by players from footage. A 1995 Grotti Cheetah appears in Rockstar's official edition and pre-order material, which makes the car's presence in the game a matter of record rather than interpretation. What that material does not tell us is how the car behaves, what it costs or how players get hold of one, so we record none of those things.

The Cheetah has been the series' resident Italian wedge since Grand Theft Auto III, and it was the poster car of the original Vice City in 2002 — which makes its return to a modern Leonida especially loaded. Grand Theft Auto V ran both a contemporary Cheetah and, later, a Cheetah Classic that leaned back toward the 1980s original. Anything you may remember about how those cars drove belongs to those games; none of it carries across to Grand Theft Auto VI.
